A windows 2000 computer upon turning it on will continue to restart but get no error messages. The bios will post and first windows start screen will do its thing then the second graphical windows logo screen will scroll and seems to be loading fine then it just restarts and continues doing this till manually powered off.

It's tricky, but you should still be able to get into safemode. You just have to time tapping the F8 key
If you can get there, then we can do some troubleshooting

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

Alright tried to get it in safe mode and was able to choose to boot it that way but as soon as it started to boot, it restarted again.
