Whenever I start up my computer and log in, all I see is the "Documents" folder, there is no desktop, taskbar or anything. It's annoying because I have to start Task Manager and start the explorer task, only then can I see my desktop. Also whenever I open explorer.exe in C:\Windows it opens the "Documents" folder. Is there any way to make it so that the computer starts up normally with the desktop?

Vista Home Premium SP1 32bit

thanks

Have you recently removed any viruses from your system?
Have you performed an independent virus scan to ensure that your antivirus hasn't been taken over by a virus?

Here's a few links for free, online scans:

(Be advised that some of these scanners will pickup things in "quarantine" from other anti-virus programs - so review the results carefully)
