Posted 07 August 2008 - 06:10 AM

I tried to watch the mummy 3 online and downloaded a file then it changed my whole desktop to a message saying "DOWNLOAD ANTI SPYWARE" and started coming up with pop ups saying I needed to download anti virus software and shortcuts came up.

Also just figured out that when I tried to change my background, right click properties and there was no tab called 'desktop' anymore, only appearance and two others.

I dont know what to do!

Here is my log:

Hello Telekinetic

Please download SmitfraudFix

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
