My computer's been acting kind of strange lately. Intermittently, I'll lose the ability to click on links. I mean, obviously I'm physically able to click on the links, but nothing happens. It's like the computer just stops responding to the links altogether. In order to get it working again, I have to restart completely.

Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this? I've run my AVG and according to that I don't have any threats, but....I'm stumped.

Since you are using firefox, check for any updates on the web browser. You can also try uninstalling the program and re-installing it again.
