hi, im having a problem with my windows media player, i downloaded a dvdrip andit plays but there is no sound. i downloaded some programs to find the codec, like Gspot, VideoInspector and AVIcodec. they all told me to find "FF" or "00FF" or something like that. please help and tell me how to get these video files playing.

We need a little more information that "something like that" to be able to help. What exactly were you told to get?

well AVI codec said i needed "0xFF", Gspot said i needed "0x00ff" and VideoInspector said i needed "00FF"

Is there any way you can post a screen shot of the gspot screen after you launch a video with it?

my friend help me out by telling me to download kazaa codec mega pack, it fix my problem, but thanks for your help anyway Grinler :thumbsup:
