Hi everyone. We just installed a wireless system with a brand new computer (the wireless one) and a brand new printer (wired to the existing computer). The existing wired computer runs XP, the new wireless computer runs Vista. We had our set-up backwards....having the printer plugged into the wireless computer...changed that and plugged the printer into the XP wired computer, and removed the printer software from the wireless Vista computer, and installed it on the XP computer, and now that Vista computer cannot find the printer on the network. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions? Thanks in advance.

This sounds like an issue with the security settings on the Vista machine first make sure the Wireless netwokr on the Vista machine is set to private network and not public as this disables the file and print sharing.

The other thing is also to check that you have shared the printer from the XP machine and allow this permissions for Everyone. You will then hopefully be able to browse the network for the XP machine and then connect to the shared printer from there.

I hope this helps
