So basically I got off my computer earlier to let me mom use it, and I had to reboot it first, and I assumed she knew how to start it (there is a trick to ours), and SOMEHOW I guess she initiated the System Recovery and made the only user account accessible HP_Owner. I really need to get my user account back, cause I have a lot of important stuff on there, like stuff that I do for work, and I'm screwed if I don't get that stuff back. The files all still seem to be there, but I don't want to do anything to mess them up.

It depends on what sort of recovery she did. Open up Windows Explorer (Start...Run...type in "explorer.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter).

In the left hand pane, locate My Computer and click on the + sign next to it.
Then, click on the + sign next to your C: drive
Then, click on the + sign next to the folder named "Documents and Settings"

What are the folders located there? At a minimum there should be an All Users folder, a Default User folder, and the HP_Owner folder. Are there any others?

I already said that, I said all the files seem to still be there, but most of my programs are at their beginnings, like itunes is several versions behind now.

What does "all the files seem to be there" mean? What's there, and what isn't?

Is your old user profile located under the Documents and Settings folder? Where have you stored your music and other data? Is any of it in the Shared Documents/Music/etc folders? What is the structure of your My Documents folder? What sort of files (other than music) are you trying to save? Is there any email to save? If so, what email client are you using? Is the iTunes from the correct folder? Have you searched your hard drive for different versions of the iTunes software? etc, etc, etc

What I'm saying is, the only files that have suffered is basically itunes, cause it is in an earlier version, and my music isn't there anymore (I think, busy at the moment).
