A few days ago I had to uninstall McAfee, went to reinstall and is a no go, I get errors that it cant connect to server or 0x000933 error, McAfee not much help right now. Tonight I tried Zone alarm that is a no go"unable to find msi or patch". My son was on a not so nice sight last week so not sure if I picked up something that is making it difficult to download stuff. Even had an issue with Yahoo messenger. So right pc has very little security. Help please.

Thank you

Lisa

Since you cannot use your Internet, you are going to need access to another computer (family member, friend, etc) with an Internet connection. Download the programs and save them to a flash (usb, pen, thumb, jump) drive or CD. Then transfer directly to the infected computer. If you cannot copy files to your usb drive, make sure its not "Write Protected". Some flash drives have a switch on the side which could have accidentally been moved to write protect.

That's the problem I can access the internet but something keeps causing me problems when I try to download software. I use Firefox and I can connect without an issue. Now last week I could not get to the internet but when I uninstalled McAfee I was able to get to the internet. I had Comodo installed but it started acting up as well and I took it down yesterday.

The same thing applies. If you cannot download anything, then you still will need to download from another computer and transfer until this issue is resolved.
