Hi!!!

I would like to anonymize my IP address... just temporarily. My company has an anonymous feedback page in it's website and I'd like to share my opinions with them. Apparently, when you provide text in their feedback fields you leave your IP address. AND, their tech guy knows my home IP address, so it defeats the purpose of anonymity.

Does anyone have suggestions for me? I'm using Mozilla Firefox as my browser. I don't have an incredible amount of RAM and I'm using Windows2000.

Thanks BC-ers!

If it's only temporary can't you use a Public labrary or a cyber cafe?

Pick an anonymous one, configure FF to use a proxy
Preferences - General - Connection Settings (this might be different on the Windows version of FF)
visit http://whatismyip.com/ to verify the proxy is working.

Raw, thanks for the information. I will definitely try it.

Catweazle, sure... I could go to either of the places that you suggested... it just seems simpler to anonomyze myself at home. But, thanks for your input, too. Who knows... maybe I'll launch some anonymous feedback from those locations, too. (If I could just be brave enough to peel off my keyboard and install my internal wireless card, I'd be at my local coffee shop right now!).

 thanks, guys!
T.
