Most DVD/CD's will read and write however i tell them to. But certain DVD's will bluescreen me when i run them in media player. The first time it happened i should have expected it, I accidently ran a PAL when i was trying to rip/burn to NTSC. What's got me curious is that it happens on certain DVD's that my mom has recorded off her DVR on her TV. The same DVD plays just fine in any regular *tv connected* DVD player i've tried it on, But if i load it up in media player i bluescreen for a split second, then restart. when windows reboots i get my favorite lil popup that says your computer has recovered from a serious error. Kinda trips me out...So am i missing a codec or maybe certain DVDs are in an odd format? No biggie, just curious.
