My brother in law is having a little trouble with Antivirus XP 2008 and I was hoping I could get some help. I've read all of the tutorials on removing this program but we can't use those for his situation. Antivirus XP 2008 starts up upon startup and for some reason Explorer.exe is missing from the windows task manager. No action can be taken to remove the program because every time you open a folder or start any program the folder or program is automatically closed after a few seconds. This happens in safe mode as well. Anybody with any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to rename the malwarebytes desktop icon to something else, like banky...
Then see if it runs...et us know.
