When I click on the IE icon a white screen will blip up briefly and then nothing. The browser will not load at all.

What hasn't worked:

1. Tried rebooting.

2. Tried an earlier restore point-two different ones.

3. Uninstalled and re-installed IE7

4. Ran McAffee to check for viruses etc.

5. Emptied Internet Files etc.

6. Reset IE in the same window.

7. Went to Microsoft Website and followed their instructions.

8. Ran Kaspersky Online.

Found the HijackThis program and was led to this forum. I ran the program and was astounded at all that it listed and confounded that I don't really understand most of it.

At this point I am not sure what to do.

Uninstall internet explorer 7 again and then this time, use IE6 and see if you are able to go online.

If IE7 is still installed, go to Start...Run...and type in "iexplore -extoff" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
This will load IE7 without any add-ons. Then try surfing with that to see if it helps.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
