Hi all.

I've been Googling my fingers to the bone looking for a nice little piece of software I once had which enables you to delete search engines in your Firefox sidebar menu.

I can't understand why such an essential piece of equipment isn't an integral part of the Firefox browser package.

Can someone help me, please?

Edit: Moved topic from XP to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Are you sure you mean "sidebar"? All I have showing there are the bookmarks.
You could try the following:
1. At the top right search box, beside whatever search engine is showing is a small down arrow.
2. Click on it and different engines show up. At the bottom of the list is "manage search engines."
3.Click on that, highlight each engine, and click on "remove"for each one, then click on "OK."

Perhaps this will work, if I understand your problem correctly.
Cheers,
John

Of course you're absolutely right, jg! I can't understand how the heck I didn't see that.

Carry On Regardless!

My solution only SEEMS obvious now that you have tried it. I only knew about it because I wanted to ADD engines and change which one I wanted to use the most often.
Happy my idea worked for you.
Cheers,
John
