Hi! I am very new to this kind of communication. I am eighty years of age and quite familiar with older computers. I have been problem solving for U3A peopln in my age bracket. I"ve just been given a Toshiba Tecra M3 laptop and am overawed by it. I would like somegeneral asdvice about how to vest use this site.

It may take some time, but I would suggest you browse through the forum descriptions; these will help you locate discussions and posts that might be of interest to you. Many of the forums have "pinned" topics at the top, and these may certainly be read with profit.
Acquaint yourself, also, with the content of the TABS at the top of the page: you will find many excellent TUTORIALS, as well as some handy databases of, for example, start-up application files.

If you cannot find the information you need, then pick the forum that seems most appropriate to you and post about the problem or question so that our Members can help you.
