I have a different computer and the internet doesn't work on it but it works for my other computers. I use road runner...
I have no clue what the problem is, I turned off my computer one day and the next day it didn't work sence. Above where the cord is on my modem it should blink but it doesn't even do that.
Anybody know what might be wrong or what I could do to fix it?

Have you tried a new cable(known good cable). Are you on telephone or DSL? If DSL are you using a router or straight to the modem? If you are using a router try a straight connection to the modem.

first things first...
eliminate the simple stuff.
try another ethernet cable...
like plug the one from your working machine
into the non-working one... and if that fixes it just
take a knife and cut the bad cable (they are not
worth fixing) and get a new one to replace it.

if not, try swapping the port in the modem (they
are known to die too) if not this...

write back... it gets more complicated from here.

thanks,

Hm yeah things are getting very complicated at this point.
I tried a new cord and things weren't working out... but I can't exactly reboot my computer because my computer doesn't read discs at all...

Before my internet stopped working at a certain point of the day I would have to restart my computer to get it working again... but now I guess it stopped working for good.

So things are just way to screwed up for me, I have a lot of problems with my computer and a reboot would be really good but I can't even get that.

Can you restart in safe mode?
