couldn't find any help on the whole bloody internet. anyway I keep failing the MTU test for Xbox live.

I am using a SB5100 surfboard made by motorolla

I am using a Cat6 ethernet cable

I am fine up until the MTU test

it says I need to change my modem's MTU, how do I do that? I tried using stuff I found on google but it didn't work. calling microsoft doesn't work; it's just a recording.

any help would be great

I've found several items about this very issue.

Microsoft - While attempting to perform the network test on the Test Xbox LIVE Connection screen, MTU status displays "Failed"
Tech Support Guy forums - xbox fails MTU test
Yahoo! Answers - How do i change the MTU on my sb5100 comcast modem to connect to xbox live?
Whirlpool Forum - XBox Live MTU Problem
XBOX World Australia - Networking your 360 over ICS

Good Luck!
