The problems I am having are too numerous to list. lol This computer is eleven years old and been updated to Windows XP through Windows Millenium through Windows 98 (I think) and so on. But for now, my main concerns are:

1. I am losing information from Word documents. I begin a document, save it, close it, and wait a day or two. I open the document, add new information, save it, close it, and wait a day or two. I open the document and all of the second day's information is gone (and third and fourth and etc. days' if I've continued that long.)

2. For about a month, when I reboot, I get a benign-looking square at the bottom right of my screen that seems to be from Norton and it says I have turned off my NAV and therefore my computer may not be protected from virus'. Meanwhile, my NAV is running fine from what I can tell - very computer illiterate but my NAV icon shows a green checkmark and my automatic update is constantly adding updates.

Of course, my computer runs slower than it use to and all that jazz but the above two issues are why I ran the ComboFix and I posted it here because your site suggested that I do so.

Thank you in advance for any insight you can give me from the report or with my problems!

ComboFix logs should not to be posted outside the HijackThis forums and then only when requested by a HJT Team member. It is an extremely powerful tool which should only be used when instructed to do so by someone who has been properly trained. ComboFix is intended by its creator to be "used under the guidance and supervision of an expert", NOT for private use. Please read Combofix's Disclaimer. Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again.

Please create a new topic explaining the nature of your problem in the Am I infected? What do I do? forum. Describe pop-ups and system tray or desktop icons that have appeared. Explain what is "going wrong" with your computer. Note any tools you have used and their respective results.

If needed, we will direct you to our HJT Preparation Guide.

Thank you for using BleepingComputer as your malware removal source.
