Hello
suddenly for the past couple of weeks I have been getting a security warning popup at startup on a program that has been on my computer for quite some time. I have unchecked the box where it states to notify me of this type of file but it keeps happening. It is a calendar called Rainlender that appears on my desktop.
Any ideas?

Thanks

If you trust this program, put a checkmark in the box and click "Run"
If you don't trust the program, don't let it run and click on "Cancel" - then uninstall the program so you won't be bothered with it again.

Thanks John

I have unchecked it because it reads...
Always ask before opening this file

I have tried both ways but for some reason the warning message keeps reappearing.

Thank you for the response
Tom

Darned eye problems are really messing me up today! Sorry!

Anywhooooo....I'd have to suggest updating to the latest version of Rainlendar ( http://www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php )
If you're already at the latest version, then maybe uninstall and then reinstall?

Otherwise, it sounds like a problem with how Rainlendar interacts with Vista (and it's invoking of the UAC dialog). I searched the Rainlendar forums and found results that seem to indicate that they left some stuff in that's incompatible with Vista (for backwards compatibility I suppose). Here's the link to that post: http://www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php?op...mp;catid=2#5701

Thanks again John.
It may be the latest update I got from them so I'll either wait for the next update or do a reinstall like you said

Thanks and enjoy your weekend
