Hi

Please can anyone help? Like many people, I had a VIRUS ALERT message next to the clock and had a number of virus software pop-ups. I have run downloaded Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and run a scan, the log is below. I have just rebooted. Everything seems to be OK, but I have lost some shortcuts from my desktop and IE is telling me "Internet Explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled" in the yellow warning bar at the top of the screen.

I have recently started running AVG as Norton was awful.

Is there anything else i need to run to ensure all viruses have been removed?

Can anyone help?!

Thanks

JC

Did you reboot the computer after using MBAM? If it encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you need to restart the computer so the malware can be fully removed. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware. Your log indicates some files will be deleted on reboot. If you have not rebooted, make sure you do this. When done, rescan again with MBAM and check all items found for removal. Then click the Logs tab and copy/paste the contents of the new report in your next reply. If you did reboot, the rescan again anyway and post a new log.

Scan results after reboot are below. Have stilll lost a number of shortcuts and "IE is currently running with add-ons disabled".

Should everything be OK now?

Cheers

What shortcuts are missing?

What add-ons are disabled and have you tried enabling them?
