Hey all just brought a new router as our old one stoped working, the problem is when you plug the phone line in to the router to wall ( using a filter on all phone jacks ) the phone goes dead, no dial tone or anything. I have unpluged all the phones & just pluged in the router & it doesnt connect to my isp ( dont get a ip address or anything ) i dont get any error msg's it just saying its trying to get information from isp but nothing happens.

Any help would be great cheers all.

O and to note, when the router phone cable is pluged in & the phone line goes dead the alarm also starts beeping every minutes or so.
