Hopefully someone can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I'm using stuffit expander on my mac to extract a multi-part archive of an avi file. When I go to unpack the rar's, the process starts out fine, but once it nears the end, stuffit freezes up and won't finish the job. At this point, I have to force quit stuffit from the task manager. Then, when I go to play the avi with VLC, VLC tells me the avi is broken, and gives me this error message: "accessfile: seeking too far". This has happened multiple times with different archives, so I don't *think* it's just a case of a corrupted file. Any ideas how I can fix this? It keeps screwing up my avi's, and I hate having to force quit apps. Thanks a lot.
