Hi All,

ive just rolled back an xp security update that had deleted some dll's i need and because the rollback won't restore the dlls ive had to try a system restore...but none of my restore points exist!! they've all been wiped out too!

now i can i see at least three REG entry folders in system volume information, and have also uncovered loads of MFT files (using file undelete) but nothing i do will recover the restore points...

my question is:

Can i recovery these files in any other way? because they are in the MFT they all read A00......dll

so i don't know which ones pertain to what and no file recover software i use can ytell me where they were deleted from. so i can get at the files but they've been renamed and i don't know where they go or where they were from...

any ideas?
