We are moving the site to a much more powerful server tomorrow at around noon eastern. The site will be down for about an hour during this move.

Well it actually did only take about an hour

Took me a little longer to get the server ready to move though so it went down around 1:45. We are up on the new server. This should help us accomdate significant growth for the future. :flowers:

Great news. Now all you have to do is set the time as your last post shows 10 PM, a little over 3 hours from now.

EDIT: Now I see its set an hour early.

It is me, or is the site responding significantly faster?
You are to be commended for a seamless transition to a new server without encountering major problems (except for the time stamp).
Thanks,
John

Yeah time stamp is a little weird but it should be fine once we get to tomorrow later in the afternoon. My bad for not checking the server time

Good Job!

Seems it went well, as I hardly noticed it.

I'm slow though, it might take me some time to catch on.

Speaking of the server time, I'm still seeing everything 1 hour behind what the actual time is. I'm in EST. Do I need to reset something in my Control Panel?

If you use daylight savings time change it in the board settings of your control panel. The site is set to UTC because their are visitors who do not use daylight savings time.

Thanks Grinler. Problem solved. Thought I had done that when I registered.

Another thing that I noticed is that the email notifications are running about 6 hours behind right now. Was there a problem last night?

For instance, I've yet to recieve a notification about your last post here. Is there a normal lag time for that?

Hmm that is curious Leurgy. I have been receiving my notifications right on time. WOW!

That one took less than a minute, so either Grinler did something or its my ISP that had a glitch.

Never mind........................
