Internet Explorer Has Encountered A Problem (again!)

I'm having trouble w/ Internet Explorer. It stops working and sometimes freezes up my comp. I always get the same generic "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close." If I choose to send/don't send error report all of my IE windows close. If I choose debug sometimes I can save some of my windows. Other times my comp freezes up. I have the error message on my screen right now so I can give you some info.

The data the error report contains:
Error signature
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.5730.11 ModName: unknown
ModVer: Offset: 00720072

Then there are lines and lines of numbers and finally it says "The following files will be included in this error report."

My comp is a 6 yr old HP. I'm running WindowsXP. I was using IE6, but when this started happening I thought there was a problem w/it so I upgraded to IE7 just a few days ago. I have Panda anti-virus.

I don't know what else I can tell you. I hope this all makes sense!
