I have many icons on my desktop of sites that I go to frequently. I always just double clicked the icon and the site would open. All of a sudden, when I click an icon, I have to do it several times before it will open. At first I thought it could be a windows update, but no one else I know is having the problem, so I sort of eliminated that. Any ideas?

Edit: Moved topic from XP to the more appropriate forum and reduced font size. ~ Animal

I cleaned everything out and it is still doing that. Is anyone else having this problem.

It all started about 2 weeks ago. I have not added any new programs, or anything like that. The only thing is the updates and how would I ever figure out which one was causing this if that was the case?

What version of IE?

I suppose that it could be corrupted. Any errors re IE or your Internet connection capability in Event Viewer?
