so I go to the Speedfan site and I get some popups unrelated to speedfan whenever I point to certain links within the paragraphs that are describing this utility. So I'm suspicious about the site, but not enough to leave. Then, after downloading speedfan and then installing, i also have something on my desktop called initdebug.nfo. I clicked on it, wrongly so, I thought it was the speedfan, and I got an error saying it must be corrupted. Now, it's disappeared. Totally. Don't see it in the control panel either.
Ever heard of this?

Thanks very much.

PS I did find it in C:\windows\system32 and its a msinfo document. ??

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
