Internal Dvd

Hi have installed new internal DVD due to alot of problems with the old one..: Every thing fine now. set new one as slave so master still connected. Went to error log trying to figure what went wrong with original drive..Got this THE DEVICE\DEVICE\CdRom0 HAS A BAD BLOCK....What does this mean?????? :thumbsup:

That usually means (when I see it) that I've tried to read a disk...when there is no disk present in the drive. That's when it refers to a CD/DVD drive.

It has a different connotation when it refers to a hard drive.

I suspect that it could also indicate an inability of an optical drive to read disks...but I've not had an optical drive fail that test yet.
