I recently purchased a Linksys WRT150N wireless router and set it up successfully in my house.

Within close range my laptops connect to the network fine.

However, just a couple of rooms away, neither of my laptops can find the network on the "connect to network" dialog without pressing refresh around 10-15 times.

Once connected, the signal is consistently 'excellent' and I never get disconnected.

Is this normal? Can it be fixed?

Hello Crabby,

This can be normal in most cases, as it takes a while for the signal to negotiate a path to to and from the router. I have had this problem once before and as I recall it was solved by tweaking my connection slightly and disabling some unneeded protocols.
