Hi, Can you assist please. I am running Windows XP professional, SP3, and Internet Exporer V7. After booting I get an application error - "Event ID 1000. Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.5512, faulting module explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.5512, fault address 0x00011900". My three screens go blank and then come back slowly. This occurs often while I am logged in. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks Julie

You are confusing explorer.exe with Internet Explorer. They are 2 different things. The next time it happens, open the Event Viewer and see what it shows.

You also might test your memory using Memtest86 You download it as an ISO to a CD.

You can also try one memory module at a time to see if one is bad

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
