I know I just had someone help me with my computer but it's been acting extra weird lately.. Programs are going very slow, and the internet is hardly ever working right.

Would someone please help.

I just had someone help me with my computer

Where did you get help and what steps have you taken so far?

What OS (Win 2K, XPsp1, XPsp2, Vista) are you using? What type of anti-virus are you using? Have you performed any anti-spyware scans? Have you tried doing your scans in "Safe Mode"?

I have windows xp home edition, the most up to date version of the free avg anti virus, and I do spyware scans regularly.

Here's my last topic from this forum, this will show you what all I've already done.

You were given a clean bill on your system. Did you follow the suggestions in the link that was provided?

Slow Computer/Browser? Check here first; it may not be malware. There are reasons for slowness besides malware - i.e. disk fragmentation, disk errors, corrupt system files, too many startup programs, unnecessary services running, not enough RAM, dirty hardware components, etc. As your system gets older it becomes filled with more files/programs and has a natural tendency to slow down so cleaning and regular maintenance is essential.
