The update driver action in xp either is not very good or driver detective is pulling my leg to get me to buy it. Indicates I have 14 drivers out of date. Got to be a cheaper way to update drivers. Went to one of my hardware sites and went through there selection but when trying to install it indicates no such device present. Yet it show in hardware section and vendor site as such.

Just because some program says they're out of date doesn't mean a thing. As long as there are no problems, I wouldn't update a driver. The best way to update is to go to the manufacturer's site for the device and download it yourself
