Hi,

I was wondering why bleepingcomputer.co.uk, bleepingcomputer.net, bleepingcomputer.org, bleepingcomputer.info, bleepingcomputer.us, bleepingcomputer.biz and a few more are registered by Bleeping Computer LLC.
Why so many?
I'm asking because I was wondering if I could become a part of Bleeping Computer website developers and use the .co.uk domain for the UK version of BC.
Thanks

As a guess, I would say it's so somebody else can't register those other names for nefarious purposes. You could think you're visiting BC for help, but end up at some criminals site where your problems only worsen.

Using slightly different names is a common trick of maleware writers.

KingOfIdiocy has it right. It is also because bleepingcomputer is the company's brand and therefore we do not want someone using it.

I am not surprised.

Grinler is you are the rightful owner of those domains, wouldn't it be better if they were set to redirect them to here instead of nothing?

No problem

Would have thought they would be redirecting here, that's why I suggested it.

Yer that would be a good idea to redirect them to here.

How long did it take for BC to become popular? When did BC first open?

P.S Sorry if I'm asking all these questions
