I unintentionally selected dualview in the monitor settings within Nvidia. My desktop is now void of any icons or start button - anything you would normally see on your desktop.

Consequently I cannot see anything on the desktop and cannot use my computer.

Any ideas on what to do next?

Thanks, Tony

Try entering Ctrl + Esc. If this doesn't help, try the instructions from this article.
