Hello, my name is fenzodahl512 and welcome to BC... Please do the following..

Please download SDFix by Andy Manchesta and save it to your desktop.
Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • In Safe Mode, right click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All,
  • A new folder will be extracted to your %systemdrive%, typically C:\SDFix
  • Open the extracted folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the script.
  • It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
  • When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt along with any other requested logs at the end of these instructions.

Regards

sorry for the delay in replying here are the results of the report.txt after I ran the program. I ran spybot prior to checking this site it had found 27 malware I believe and got rid of them. I will also along with the report.txt add a new hjthis text file after the report.txt was done.

I am having some issues with popups aswell...

sites that have banners are taken over by spyware or malware banners.

here is reports.txt

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) from HERE or HERE and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • Please let your firewall allow the scanning/downloading process.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.
If you are using Vista, you need to right-click at dss.exe icon and choose Run as Administrator

Keep calm, make it simple, use your brain, don't freak out, and you'll be just fine..

Please uninstall Viewpoint Media Player from your computer...

We need to get rid of some of the services running on your machine. To do this, copy (Ctrl +C) and paste (Ctrl +V) the text in the code box below to Notepad.

@echo off
sc stop "Viewpoint Manager Service"
sc delete "Viewpoint Manager Service"
exit

Save it to your desktop as File name: Service.bat
Save as type: All Files

Once done, double click Service.bat to run it. A command window will open briefly, then close. This is quite normal.

If you do not sure how to make a batch file, please visit HERE for the tutorial.

here are the results of those logs. there is still a file in the common folder called helper.sig that wasnt deleted. however the other file that was in there helper.dll was.

This folder opens up automatically when my computer restarts.

Tell me where is the exact location (full path) of this file..

Keep calm, make it simple, use your brain, don't freak out, and you'll be just fine..

Ok.. do this then..

Please double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it. (Vista users, please right click on OTMoveit2.exe and select "Run as an Administrator")
[*]Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

[kill explorer]
c:\program files\common\helper.sig
[start explorer]

[*] Return to OTMoveIt2, right click in the "Paste List of Files/Folders to Move" window (under the light Yellow bar) and choose Paste.
[*]Click the red Moveit! button.
[*]A log of files and folders moved will be created in the c:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder in the form of Date and Time (mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log). Please open this log in Notepad and post its contents in your next reply.
[*]Close OTMoveIt2
[/list]If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

Then reboot your computer.. Post the log and tell me can you see the file still?

Keep calm, make it simple, use your brain, don't freak out, and you'll be just fine..

seems to be running better no annoying popups on sites I know dont have the type of popups I was getting and/or banners.

How do I stop that folder from opening up everytime I reboot?

as well how do I create a system restore file so that I can backup now that it is clean again.

Finally thanks for all your help this was 1000 times easier then a fresh reinstall of the OS.

still finding some things slow like facebook.

Do you mean to load their website? I don't think its malware related..

Lets do one last scan, just to make sure you are good to go..

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

Click on Accept

You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
    • Scan Options:
    Scan Archives
    Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
  • This will program will start and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    • Now click on the Save as Text button:
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.

Keep calm, make it simple, use your brain, don't freak out, and you'll be just fine..
