I cant open any program files once I download them, same thing happens for all programs/files I download. I DL to desktop double click the file and nothing opens, I have to right click send-to compressed (zipped) folder then I can extract files but I get to the same 1 original file and cannot open/run it, what is happening?!? grr I know these programs have more then 1 file/folder in them If I could just get to those files I'd be fine. Im using windows xp and have administrative rights. Please Help me. thankyou.

Hello kalimist99 and welcome.

What zip tool are you using? Sending one file to a zip archive and then extracting the contents will only return what file you put into the archive.

What program are you trying to download/run? You may need specific software to run the program.
Regards,

Alan.

I think I found some of the problem when I right click the file under properties it opens with HIPS Email Attachment Helper, that cant be right I dont know what else to use though other options available don't make sense either. I tried DLing Winzip and I cant even open that same problem. It happens with just about any program I download. I dont really know what a zip tool is but im extracting it with what I think came with the computer called extraction wizard.

It is most likely that the file needs to be opened by the game. What other problems are there? They may be related.

Alan.
