Somehow I keep getting pop up alerts from something calling itself Dr Antivirus 2008. It is not listed in my Add/Remove programs list but there is an icon on the lower right side of my toolbar on bottom...I am on Windows xp and cannot seem to figure out how to get rid of this pest!!Any help would be appreciated. It seems that they want me to buy Dr Antivirus 2008 but I already have AVG on my computer. This Dr Antivirus pops up warnings that I have numerous trojans and viruses on my computer and asks me constantly if I want to "update" to remove said viruses and trojans. It also asks me constantly if I want to proceed to a web page unsecured. It also has blocked me from entering a website "reporting" my unsafe procedures into a website..PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Run a full system scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware in Normal Mode (Instructions).

Launch MBAM, click the Logs tab and copy/paste the contents of the new report in your next reply. If for some reason you cannot find the log, rescan again and post a new log.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Instructions (with screenshots)

To get your logfiles, go to the Tab "Logs", open the Log folder, use your mouse to highlight that logfile which you want to see, click "Open". Your logfile opens, you can copy and paste it to your thread.

No, that's the name of your log file, not the actual log.

Launch MBAM.
Click the Logs Tab at the top.
mbam-log-7-18-2008(09-52-04).txt should show in the list. <- note it has a .txt (text) extension.
Click on the log to highlight it.
Go to the bottom and click on Open.
The log should automatically open in notepad as a text file.
Go to Edit and choose Select all.
Go back to Edit and choose Copy or right-click on the highlighted text and choose copy from there.
Come back to this thread, click Add Reply, then right-click and choose Paste.
