Hello,

I'm about to reformat my computer to its original state. How do I go about erasing everything??

Do I have to reformat or do i just install XP?

BTW I do have my XP CD, but i would appreciate some help with this.

Thanks

There is some good advice on installing XP here. I would delete the current XP partition and create a new one (all data in that partition will be lost).

If the hard drive or partition has a previous installation of XP you want to remove, choose to delete the partition by pressing "D". You will then be prompted to create a new partition in the empty space. This will remove all data from the deleted space.

Here is another guide http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sg_clean.asp

If you proceed you should mention in your HijackThis post that you are reformatting and to close the topic.

Alan.
