Just early this morning it started running really slow.
Takes time to even open CCleaner at times.

I do regular system scan with AVG 8.0 & Malwarebytes.

I recently did a Malwarebytes Scan this what came up.

Hello there tia08,
Please take a look at the following tutorial, following the outlined steps before letting us know whether or not this aids your situation at all; if not, then it is likely that malware is the cause of your slowdown:

Time elapsed: 1 hour(s), 25 minute(s), 10 second(s)

for a quick scan with MBAM that's way too long for 40K files and even vista

Even if your hard drive was in pio mode on an older computer with ide/pata

If it was almost full and extremely fragmented?
Chewy

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.

John's one of the most knowledgable people on this issue here, did you follow his advise?

If your hard drive is full Vista will not perform at all when you have a low ram and limited swap file space?
Chewy

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.

Would you post back in that flicker thread and post a link to this thread, you need to be able to look at how much space is left on your hard drive

If it's almost full then windows will drastically slow as the swap file runs out of space, that's one more reason you need more ram

It's almost impossible to run Vista on 512 megs(and part of that has to do the video)

This may be malware but Rookie is right to suspect something else/

NO ERRORS - JUST WARNINGS.

I know i need more ram BUT it wasn't a problem 1 day ago.
It went normally and a bit fast for me.

I have 82.7 GB Of free space available OF 103 GB
8.3 gb is going to the recovery thing.

I don't wanna post in that flicker thread as this has nothing to do with the flicker.

Ok, I understand, it's not a swap file issue(or at least not significantly)

Would you run an avg scan in safe mode?
