Apparently AVG 7.5 left Antivirus XP 2008 get into my computer. Thanks to the info on this site, I was able to get almost back to normal. The malware apparently deleted all my restore points and changed my taskbar so that the hide unused icons does not work even though selected.
By the way, is there any way to save the restore points on another drive or disk?
