After trawling through everyone else's problems I think I have finally sorted out my hubbie's computer by following the advice given by you clever chaps! All I would like to know is, is the computer free from everything now as it is his business computer. I have run SmitFraudFix, mbam, ATF cleaner, Avast, SpyDoctor (which I must add didn't find any of the problems which worries me a bit as I have just paid for it!) and finally HijackThis to send to you.

If it helps the original problem was XP Antivirus 2008, Error Cleaner, Privacy Protector, Spyware&Malware Protection and browser hijacking which was most annoying. Whilst trying to clear this the software found Vundo and Trojan.Fake Alert.

Would appreciate your assistance.

Hi Tweeny

I apologize for the delay in response to your thread.
If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, I would appreciate you letting us know..
If not please post back a new Hjt log so I can have a look at the current condition of your machine.

Thanks
