I have PC Spyware Doctor however I had it disabled for a short time and I know have several problems including Error Cleaner, Privacy Protector, Spyware & Malware Protector. It seems to have taken over my PC. Help! I am emailing from my kids PC and using my work email because everytime I execute internet explorer it redirects me... Help!

You can use this link as a guide to using a usb drive to transfer tools to the infected computer, MBAM would be the first program I would attempt to use to start the cleaning

Ok, I have smitfraudfix on the troubled PC, however it won't allow me to run it... HELP!!!

Chewy - Does this mean that I am running it off of the jump drive when I reboot and in safe mode??? I have tried running it in safe mode in different user profiles and no dice. Help!

download sdfix and put on the usb drive, in safe mode you should be able to install it from the the usb drive, make sure you print the directions or understand them very well

I am not sure if the inf file will install from a usb drive as I have not tested that function

Chewy - I downloaded sdfix,followed the directions in safe mode and administrator, no dice. I double click on it and it won't execute. Help!

Right-click on XP_CodecRepair.inf and select Install from the Context menu.
Note: To download the .inf file, go to File, choose "Save page as" All Files and save XP_CodecRepair.inf to your desktop.
Then log off or reboot to apply the changes.


did you run the inf file inside the sdfix folder

Does sdfix in safe mode, administrator need internet access? For whatever reason my wireless is having trouble in administartor mode..

it's best to be physically disconnected from the internet, how you can you beat malware when it's reinstalling itself?

well, it won't execute.. the sdfix.. As far as the CodecRepair.inf I really am not sure I understand -- if you have a step by step that may help. I feel dead in the water. Help! Thanks in advance!
