I have a folder on my desktop that has suddenly began displaying an exclamation point.

When I go inside to open a subfolder in there it takes a long time
Here is a pic

I have been using this folder for months with no problems.

When you hover your mouse over it or right-click and choose properties, does it give you any clues?

Hovering over it gives a pop-up type ballon box that states the size is 3.83 gb and lists partially the contents.

Also maybe of importance...There are twenty six folders inside that folder with pictures in each of those folders.

Did you originally put the folder on your Desktop? Do you know what pictures they are and where they came from?

Any large file on your desktop is likely to cause issues (explorer.exe has to re-read it each time the desktop refreshes). I'd suggest putting it somewhere (such as My Photo's) and putting a shortcut to it on your Desktop.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

- John  (my website: http://www.carrona.org/ )**If you need a more detailed explanation, please ask for it. I have the Knack. **  If I haven't replied in 48 hours, please send me a message. My eye problems have recently increased and I'm having difficult reading posts. (23 Nov 2017)FYI - I am completely blind in the right eye and ~30% blind in the left eye.<p>If the eye problems get worse suddenly, I may not be able to respond. If that's the case and help is needed, please PM a staff member for assistance.

Yes, I put the folder there.
I have been slowly building the inner folders as I add pictures (lots of pictures) that I took with my digital camera.
