I am using Windows XP home edition on a Dell Dimension 1100. When booting up in the normal mode, the Dell logo comes on, the scren goes black, then the MS windows logo. This happens repeatedly. While this is occurring there is a clicking noise. When the screen is black, there is a brief strek of a thin whitish line and a brief appearance of a cursor in the lower left. The PC boots up fine in the safe mood.
Grateful for any help.

None came with the system. But when dealing with another problem, Dell sent me a number of CDs. This includes one called " Reinstallation CD" for Windows XP. I also have a Microsoft Windows XP bought from a store.
