I apologize for "walking in the door" and greeting you with "I Have A Problem"

I have a problem:

I am trying to install QuickTime Player 5 for Windows and getting nowhere fast. My "Frustration Limit" is reaching the red mark fast.

I downloaded a Zip file named QuickTimeInstaller.zip which I naturally unzipped. In it were two files: QuickTimeInstaller.exe and QuickTimeInstallCache.qdat. I was able to install the exe file but no matter what I do, I can not get the second file to install. At first I thought it was the qdat file extension giving me all the trouble but now I'm beginning to wonder if I missed something else.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

OOPS! I almost forgot:

All you should have to do is double click on the QuickTimeInstaller.exe file and it should install. Don't worry about the QuickTimeInstallCache.qdat that is used by the installer when installing.
