A Microsoft update is causing problems for Zone Alarm users, causing a complete loss of internet access.

The KB951748 update is the offending piece of software, which alters files relating to Windows networking.

Zone Alarm reportedly interprets this as a malicious attack and completely blocks all internet traffic in response...

Thanks, Quietman, for the notice. We have many Members who are reporting having this problem. It looks like the Z/A people have provided an update to their software that solves the problem, so thanks for that link.

I been on vacation this week and doing limited reading/posting between all the severe thunderstorms. When I came across this problem I figured we'd have some members who would need assistance.

ZoneAlarm has come out with a new release that will work fine with the Microsoft Update KB951748.
