Will boot properly into safe mode and works fine. seem to me a possible driver problem, but it was working fine until recently. I haven't done anything to the system that should cause this issue. The video card i'm running is a geforce go6150. proccessor is a turion 64. any help would be much appeciated. thanks.

Try running Startup Repair by pressing F8 just before the Window splash screen first shows up. The first choice on the menu will be "Repair your computer" - select that and let it run.

If that doesn't work, then I'd suggest downloading the video driver from the HP website here: http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/suppor...Display=drivers
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
