I have this PC here that has a virus on it. However, i cannot install spybot or adaware because they are .Exe files. When i click to open any .exe file, i will get the hourglass cursor showing that its loading, but then it stops. Windows Folder Options shows that .Exe is configured to open with "Spools" I googled spools and i think its a virus. I cannot install HiJackthis because it is an .Exe file also.
What should i do?

The PC is a XP SP2. I have disconnected it from the internet until this mess is sorted.

I have also found that Spools will not let me open the registry editor, however i can still kills the spools.exe process, but it does nothing.

I also wantewd to know, I have a windows XP SP2 Disc so i can just re-install the OS, but the disc is from another PC. If i use that disc on this laptop, only i use this laptops serial code, will I be able to validate windows?
What im trying to say is will windows still remain legit if i use a reinstall CD from a different PC? (Both XP SP2)

I think the computers clean now, ran ad-aware and superantispyware several times with clean results. I'll post a Hi-jackthis log just in case.

Alright, my pc is still infected. Hijackthis removes them, but they re-appear on the next scan. Strange because spybot, adaware, and Superantispyware did not find VX2...

My Web Search:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =

Spools:
