Hello I'm new to this site and in definite need of help. I am positive I have something on my system that is not allowing me to update anything: my windows update is disabled (and I can't enable it); virus software won't update, including kaspersky free online scanner; and any program showing the time also shows 'VIRUS ALERT!" Help would be much appreciated.

Thank You

Try running a full system scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (Instructions).

Try a scan with Dr.Web CureIt! in Safe Mode. You will need to download it in Normal Mode or on another computer.

Do you have access to another computer you can download it on?

If you want you can post your log over in the HijackThis Logs and Malware Removal forum and let the experts take a look at it. But it's always very busy over in that forum and it may take several days before someone gets to your log.

See if you can download this one:

McAfee Avert Stinger

If so run it in Safe Mode.

I downloaded that a couple days ago and nothing appears infected. However, whenever I run Vundofix.exe , something always shows up.

Hello sunnydays,

I merged your new topic in the HiJack This forum because it contained no logs.

Before posting there with the logs, try this:

Rename mbam-setup.exe to solution.bat and then try to run it. Let us know if that works.

Thank you Orange Blossom and Budapest for all the help. The Malwarebytes' Program cleaned everything. The Vundo virus infiltrated many of my programs. However, all is running correctly now. Thank you both once again.
