When I got a 3rd gen nano and tried to install Itunes 7.6 the installer crapped out saying that

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable"

When I click the retry button

"The path C:\Program Files\Apple Software Update\Packages\Itunes.msi cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again"

When I click browse and locate "Itunes.msi" clicking open... Nothing happens

I recieved the same message when I tried to uninstall Itunes

Try running disk cleanup (Start > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup) And then reboot.

thanks for the info. But I went with the square peg round hole solution.

I manually deleted Itunes and related softs from program files. Then I proceeded to install the latest Itunes on my work computer drop it onto a thumb drive and paste the files into program files.

Works great so far

Im suprised that no one's commented on that...

It just seemed so easy that I was afraid it would work out poorly.

Bump.

I use Yamipod to manage my ipod as itunes is fairly bloated.

Does your itunes work correctly?

Alan.
