Hi…
I have Windows XP SP2 installed in my computer. Few days ago I installed Windows media player 11 and also K-Lite mega codec pack to view DVD movies in my PC. When I check WMP options, it shows that ‘ffdshow’ codec or decoder (I don’t know what it is...) installed along with K-Lite.
But when I try to play DVD movies in WMP 11, sometimes pictures are getting broken, freeze or the player became non responding. Sometimes I have to restart my computer to get the normal graphics back.
Is it configuration problem or something else? Please help me.
Thanks and apologies for my English.

I'm using PowerDVD now and it runs perfect.

Hello novo,

Windows media player often has problems with DVD playback. You could try increasing the priority for media player to see if it that clears up the problem. CTRL+ALT+DEL processes tab wmplayer.exe right click, set priority above normal.

I've been using http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ never had a problem.
Regards,

Alan.
